I’m kicking off my 40 Before 40 Bucket List with a literal splash! On February 24th, I’ll be doing a Polar Plunge at Crooked Lake in Coon Rapids, Minnesota.
If you are going to jump into a hole in a frozen lake, there should be a good reason for it. I can’t think of a better cause than raising money for Special Olympics Minnesota .
The plunge will be hosted by local Law Enforcement and jump times start at 1:00pm. Click here for full event details.
Our team name is “40 Before 40 Plunge”. You’ll be missing out if you don’t join the party!
There’s just a few “rules” for taking the plunge with team “40 Before 40 Plunge”:
- You must raise or donate $75 for Special Olympics Minnesota in order to take the plunge. Click on this link to join the team and to make your tax-deductible donation. There’s a registration button at the top right of the page. Hit that button to start the registration process. If you have any problems registering, shoot me a message. I’ll be happy to help. If you are unable (or too chicken) to take the plunge, you can still make a donation.
- You must wear a mermaid/merman costume. Why? Because everything is more fun in a costume. I mean who hasn’t wanted to be an arctic mermaid at some point in their life?! Here’s your chance!
- You must be willing to have photos of yourself in a mermaid costume published on Taylored Adventures’ website and shared on social media.?
If you purchase this lovely adult onesie modeled by yours truly, Taylored Adventures will receive a small commission. 100% of that commission will be donated to Special Olympics Minnesota.
Please share with your family and friends. The more arctic mermaids the better!
