SIX WOMEN. UNLIMITED COMMITMENT TO THE BIT.

THE LEGENDS.
THE LEGACY.
THE QUESTIONABLE TALENT.

One internationally unrecognized band.
Several highly questionable decisions.

Turns out Steel Roses was already a real band. We changed one letter and carried on with the confidence of women who still hadn’t learned an instrument.

THE ORIGIN STORY

EVERY LEGEND HAS A BEGINNING.
OURS INVOLVED QUESTIONABLE CHOREOGRAPHY.

Some bands are formed in garages. Others meet in smoky bars or backstage at sold-out concerts. Steal Roses was born in an adult dance class.

Six women. A shared appreciation for music, friendship, and the occasional poorly executed eight-count. What began as an innocent attempt to learn tap and jazz (yes, you were thinking of the other kind of adult dance) quickly evolved into something much bigger.

There was chemistry. There was attitude. There were coordinated outfits. Musical talent was never established.

The defining moment came during a trip to Austin, Texas, when six otherwise respectable women transformed themselves into what can only be described as an aggressively confident 1980s rock band. The hair. The eyeliner. The leather. The poses. Steel Roses had arrived. Briefly.

There was just one minor detail: nobody actually played an instrument. But why let something as insignificant as musical ability stand in the way of rock-and-roll greatness?

Our exploits have taken us from the dance floor to the launch platform at Red Bull Flugtag, where we traded our imaginary instruments for a giant flying flamingo.

Concert dates remain unconfirmed. Future world tour: pending. And the legend continues.

Maintains a deceptively respectable exterior while participating in increasingly questionable group decisions. Often looks innocent. This should not be trusted.

Dara Danger, member of Steal Roses.

Karen Kaos

CHIEF OF COMMENTARY & LEAD GUITAR

Brings the positive vibes, strong reactions, and exactly the kind of running commentary every internationally unrecognized rock band needs. Never short on perspective. Rarely short on volume.

Susan Savage, member of Steal Roses.

Susan Savage

LEAD INSTIGATOR & EAR-NUMBING VOCALS

Specializes in turning casual suggestions into fully operational adventures. Frequently responsible for sentences beginning with, “What if we…” and ending with helmets, waivers, costumes, or international travel.

THE BEST PART WAS NEVER THE MUSIC.

Somewhere between dance classes, ridiculous costumes, unexpected adventures, and laughing until we couldn’t breathe, something pretty incredible happened. We found our people.

The kind who show up, play along, and make ordinary days into stories we’ll be telling for years. And while our rock-and-roll careers remain highly speculative, one thing is certain: the Steal Roses are the real deal.
